Just curious, Thus this also works on scanned photos? Cause I'm planing of restoring an old photo. Any suggestion?

Our users can make a portrait painting from photo using this effect - handle_url_tag('http://funny.pho.to/antique_oil_painting/')

I do them but what I would recommend is that you check in some local galleries or at art shows and find someone locally who can do the work without you having to have it shipped
